aura (“we”, “us”) operates the website weareaura.eu. this policy explains what data we collect on this website, how we use it and how we protect it. a separate privacy policy covering the aura device and app will be published before the first devices ship.

when you join the waitlist or subscribe to build updates, we collect your email address, the place on the site where you signed up, and your explicit opt-in (the consent checkbox on the signup form). if you accept the cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel described below, if you decline, none of it runs. if you reach the site via a festival QR code, we separately log an anonymous scan count (just a timestamp, no personal data) so we know how many people scanned it.

with your consent (the banner shown on your first visit), we load Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, which set cookies and share data about your visit (pages viewed, general device/browser info, approximate location) with Google and Meta, so we can see how people find the waitlist, which ads bring them here, and how our campaigns perform. Google and Meta may combine this with other data they hold about you under their own Google and Meta privacy policies. nothing from either loads until you click “accept”, declining (or not deciding) keeps them off completely. you can change your mind anytime below:

• to give you waitlist access and early-bird pricing when pre-orders open
• to send you regular build updates about aura
• to answer your questions when you contact us
• (if you consented) to see how visitors find and use the site, and to measure our ad campaigns

legal basis under GDPR: your consent, which you can withdraw anytime, every email includes an unsubscribe link, and Google Analytics/Meta Pixel can be turned off any time on this page.

your email is stored with our database provider (supabase) and our email platform (brevo), both under GDPR-compliant data processing agreements. if you consent to Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel, visit data also goes to Google Ireland Limited and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited respectively. we never sell your data to anyone.

until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. unsubscribed addresses are removed from active lists immediately. Google Analytics and Meta Pixel data retention is governed by their own data policies, not by us.

under GDPR you can ask for access, correction, deletion, portability or restriction of your data, and you can object to processing or withdraw consent anytime. write to info@weareaura.eu and we’ll sort it out.

we may update this policy as the product evolves, significant changes will be announced by email or on this page.
